This is a tutorial on how to do animation text thingo!

End product:

Step 1:
First off make your siggy. Leaving out the text.

LOL its really crap, took me 2 seconds to whip up so yeah.
And merge everything together to make it easier (yuo dont have to)

Step 2:
Choose your text + colour and .. type it in!

Now go to your gradient and choose a colour - make sure its different colour from your text -
Then go to the gradient tab and adjust it to.

Step 3:
Create a new TRANSPARENT layer.
Grab the gradient tool and (hold CTRL for a straight line) strok across the first letter horizontally.

Like so

Step 4:
Duplicate the first highlight layer and move the duplicated layer accross (space out as much as you want but not to far)

Repeat until text is covered, like so

Step 5:
On every highlight layer, Right click and press Layer To Image Size. If you dont do this saving it as a.gif will give you problems so this is a must!

Step 6:
Now Go to your Text, right click and press Alpha to Selection. Then press CTRL I.

Go to your highlight layers and press Delete, (CTRL K for super old gimpers lolz)
Do that to each layer, like so (its gone! lolz, thats good)

Step 7:
Nearly done! Woot!
Go to your text layer and duplicated as much as needed. and put it like this

The New Layers are actually the \"Highlight Layers\" LOL i forgot to name them

Or how many you guys did
Now Merge the highlight layer v down v to the text below but leave the text above the background layer, unmerged lolz

So it will look like this
Now merge the TExt layer onto the Background layer.

Step 7: Now go to Filters>Animation>Playback. Play it.. lolz

Step 8: Save as > [name it what you want] .GIF

End result:

Hope yo like it!
